Holden has announced the 2014 Barina RS, which is expected to hit the Australian market very soon. Essentially it is a rebadged Chevrolet Sonic RS so it will gain a lot of features from it.

Holden Barina RS features unique exterior styling including sports body kit incorporating larger rear spoiler, front and rear sports fascias and side skirts, new 17" alloy wheels and exclusive-for-RS paint colour, Orange Rock.

Barina RS also offers sports interior finishes including sport seats with RS branding and flat bottomed steering wheel.

Local engineering development work for Barina RS includes a unique-for-Australia electric power steering tune that was undertaken by Holden's own engineers.

The engine will be a 1.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder with 140HP (103 kW) and 200Nm (148 lb-ft).

2014 Holden Barina RS is expected sometime in November, this year.
