Mazda Kiyora will be exhibited at 41st Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. The car is capable of doing 76 miles per gallon (3.1l/100km). Kiyora is powered by direct-injection Mazda SKY-G 1.3 engine combined with six-speed Mazda SKY-Drive automatic transmission.

Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid is the other car, which will make it's first debut at Tokyo Motor Show. The vehicle will be powered by hydrogen rotary engine connected to a generator that powers an electric motor. The range is around 200 kilometres.

Mazda Motor Corporation will also introduce 1.3 litre SKY-G direct injection petrol engine, which is used in Kiyora. A next-generation Mazda SKY-D clean diesel engine will be shown at the Motor Show. And last but not least, Mazda will introduce a new automatic transmission called Sky-Drive.

Sky-G engine is designed specially for fuel economy and improving the output power. The result is  approximately 15 percent better fuel economy and more power compared to Mazda's current 2.0-litre engine. This was achieved by integrating next-generation fuel injectors and a highly functional variable-valve timing mechanism.

The diesel engine – Sky-D will use piezo injectors, a two-stage turbocharger and other technologies to improve the fuel economy. The engine will use 20 percent less fuel that the current Mazda's 2.2 litre diesel engine. Sky-Drive is a six speed automatic transmission with high efficiency. Designed to improve fuel consumption by revising the torque converter and clutch with minimized slip, and an optimized lock-up mechanism. This also helped to realise a direct feel similar to a dual clutch transmission.
