Porsche has added another member to its Panamera luxury sedan range – Porsche Panamera S Hybrid.

Aimed at offering buyers even more efficient combination of economy and performance, the new Panamera S Hybrid estimates a total power output of 380 horsepower (279 kW) with CO2 emissions of just 159 g/km and fuel economy of 30.4 mpg combined.

Thanks to Porsche's intelligent performance, the new Panamera S Hybrid accelerates from standstill to 62 mph in 6.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 168 mph.

The Panamera S Hybrid draws its power by a supercharged 3.0-liters V6 plant with 333 hp (245 kW) backed by a 47 hp (34 kW) electric motor, which further operates as a generator and a starter. In pure electric mode, the four-door, four-seat Gran Turismo Hybrid is capable to cover a range of approximately 1.25 miles, with speed up to 53 mph.

As every Porsche Panamera model, the new S Hybrid boasts a top-level of standard specification, including leather upholstery, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Bi-Xenon headlights, front and rear ParkAssist, tyre pressure monitoring, automatic dimming rear view mirrors, Porsche Communication Management with touch-screen satellite navigation and audio controls, cruise control and a three year warranty. Moreover, an adaptive air suspension and special Hybrid information display panel are also added as standard.

Porsche Panamera S Hybrid is scheduled for market launch in the UK in June 2011, at the price tag of 86,146 GBP.
