Believe it or not, this is the ultimate truth, which might not seem pleasant to many: this Mercedes beats the Veyron and the LaFerrari. However, there is one condition for this to be true and it is of course the tuning. This time under the spotlight is the design team at POSAIDON, which managed to take the rather clumsy E63 to unbelievable heights: we are speaking of 1,020 hp and 1,400 Nm!

Compared to the legendary Veyron which has 16-cylinders, four turbochargers, and 8.0 litres of engine capacity, and generates just 1,001 hp, the Mercedes seems a real on-road hero. Even the extremely rare LaFerrari has worse performance than this E63, and you should also consider the fact that it needs an electric motor married to a V12 to generate 963 hp.

Another benefit is that you need to pay less for the modifications, than for the Veyron or the LaFerrari, and still have better performance. Enough talking already! Here is all you need to know for the POSAIDON RS850+.

The car is based on the Mercedes-AMG E63 4Matic four-door saloon. To make the performance upgrade possible, the tuning studio had to upgrade and re-engineer the major engine components. The experts started with installing larger turbochargers and more efficient intercoolers. Next, they improved the ram air intake with a carbon-fibre encased intake system. The latter features large free-flow conical air filter.

The engine transformation continues through the addition of colder competition spark plugs, handmade turbo-back exhaust and valve controlled rear silencer. At last, the new hardware is supported by the custom ECU mapping, which makes full use of the modifications. Oh, we forgot to mention that the tuners updated the gearbox and fitted specially calibrated limited slip differentials to the front and rear axles.

Mentioning that the E63 AMG is a little bit clumsy wasn't coincidental. In fact, the car is anything but light. For this reason the engineers tried to shed unnecessary kilos wherever possible. In other words they removed the rear seat and rear door trims, and replaced the front seats with the figure hugging race style lightweight seats (just like those in the C63 Black Series). All of this results in 40 kg less weight.

The ultra-light and strong carbon is another way to make a car lighter. So, the tuning company had no choice but adding carbon bonnet, front bumper, rear diffuser and spoiler, mirror caps and tailpipes. Another noticeable change is the new wire mesh grille.

The wheels the E63 RS850+ runs on are 20-inch ADV.1 alloys that look good filling the wheel arches. Behind them we see high-performance carbon-ceramic brake system with 420 x 40mm vented discs clamped by six-pot callipers in front, and 360 x 32-mm vented discs with four-pot callipers at the rear. The suspension is uprated with adjustable coilovers.

But the result is more than just 1,020 hp and 1,400 Nm of torque. Due to all-wheel-drive, the POSAIDON RS850+ hits the 100km/h from rest in just 2.8 seconds! If unleashed, the top speed reaches 368 km/h, but due to safety measures it has been electronically limited to 350 km/h. These facts make the E63 RS850+ the most powerful street-legal Mercedes of all time.
