2015 Peugeot 308 R HybridThe ultimate Peugeot 208 R Hybrid is here! And as always the model comes with stunning design and crushing power: 500 hp (367 kW). As you know, this is the he proud heir of the car of the year 2014 Peugeot 308. This incredible hatchback combines sporty character and the comfort of a family car. It really is incredible how this beauty goes from o to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds.

The design, as in every Peugeot vehicle, is really stunning and reminds of the 2014 model, but at the same time the R Hybrid redesigns the Quartz concept. The model seen most recently at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year.

The Hybrid comes with widened front and rear tracks, which brings incredible stability and confidence on the road, that is further supported of the restyled grille, which improves the cooling of the monstrous engine.

In profile, the Hybrid proudly demonstrates a dramatic design lines and finish, that really catches the eye. The body paint is especially created to boost both the aggressive and clean lines. The design is really a piece of art. There aren't that many people, who can combine aggression and softness in a single vehicle, right?

The rear of the beauty shows narrow spoiler and wonderfully placed tailgate, that boost the aerodynamics. There is also a great way of cooling the battery temperature: the bumpers twin air scoops are especially crafted to draw the hot air. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the greatest.

Now, the interior. The 1015 Hybrid shows an already familiar look, but at the same time brings some fresh and innovative ideas. There are four restyled sports seats, covered in premium leather material, which boosts the overall look of the cabin. And that is the idea of the Peugeot team: a car, that brings dramatic look and feel, mixed with aggressive touch and premium driving experience.

And to show something really special, the team uses materials, that are only used for concept car ideas. For example, the dashboard is covered in a special material, that is created by a digital weaving technology. The material is soft and flexible and is used because of its high quality and low weight. Yes, it really helps to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle.

The wonderful steering wheel is especially designed to bring more control and faster response. The paddles are naturally fitting almost perfectly in the driver's hand and are especially designed, so the driver can have perfect control over the gearbox. In fact, the gearbox is controlled with finger-tip gadgets. There are also buttons, that allow the driver to check the system performance and engine performance.

And now the most interesting part. The engine. The heart of Peugeot 308 R Hybrid is in fact astonishing technical piece of art. This is a plug-in system with four-wheel drive, that develops the monstrous 500 hp (367 kW). But the interesting stuff doesn't end here.

The powerplant combines not one, but three sources of power and each of them is capable of providing enough power to drive the vehicle all alone. They are four-cylinder 1.6 -liter THP 270 S&S petrol engine and two electric motors, that both bring 115 hp (85 kW).

For unmatched precise and trusty handling, the cars weight is further reduced and placed as low as possible. The lithium-ion 3kWh battery is incredibly designed for optimal efficiency and size and it is placed under the rear seats, where actually the fuel tank should be.

The vehicle comes with four selectable driving modes: Hot Lap, Track, Road and Zev. The idea behind the four modes is to choose the most comfortable and reliable for each individual driver and for each individual track.

The Peugeot 308 R Hybrid is really a piece of art, that brings not only comfortable and safe drive, but also incredible performance on every type of road. This really is a honorable heir of the car of 2014 Peugeot 308.
