Ken Block and Audi Tradition's collection of vehicles, including the Audi S1 Hoonitron, recently made an impact during a night-time film shoot in Las Vegas. The Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron was driven by Ken Block, performing stunts like drifting along the famous Eiffel Tower and donuts on the legendary strip in front of Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen. The film shoot took place over several days and was filmed in various locations around Las Vegas. Ken Block has now released the finished product.

"With the S1 Hoonitron we broke entirely new ground at Audi," says Oliver Hoffmann, Member of the Board for Technical Development at AUDI AG. "Developing a fully electric prototype for the unique requirements of our partner Ken Block was a big and exciting challenge to which the whole team rose with flying colors. It is great to see how ‘Vorsprung durch Technik' is presented in an all-new environment."

Audi Sport created the Audi S1 Hoonitron, a unique car designed specifically for Ken Block. The vehicle features two electric motors, all-wheel drive, impressive power, a carbon fiber chassis, and meets FIA safety standards. The body shell, which was designed by Audi Design under Marc Lichte's leadership, brings to mind the iconic Audi Sport quattro S1 that dominated the Pikes Peak hill-climb race. Ken Block and his team worked closely with Audi during the car's development.

The Electrikhana film features not only the S1 Hoonitron but also other Audi Tradition models such as the Audi 90 IMSA GTO (1989), Audi 200 Trans Am (1988), Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak (1987), Audi quattro Gruppe B A2 (1984), Audi R8 LMP, and Audi R18 e-tron quattro from Le Mans. Tom Kristensen, who holds the record for most wins at Le Mans with nine victories, also appears briefly in the film at a red traffic light.
