Renault reveals details for the new Megane! Trim levels, performance and additional features: what do we know so far
Renault's fourth-generation Megane is already available for order! First revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the latest family member shows brand's specific design language, blended with some cutting edge technologies and exclusive additions. So, let's waste no more time and see what is going on here!
With a total of six trim levels, which are indeed the Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav, Signature Nav, GT-line Nav and GT Nav, the vehicle has not only caught our attention, but also managed to keep it. And here is why!
Standard equipment
The vehicle offers impressive suite of active and passive safety systems as Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Emergency Braking and Lande Departure Warning systems. Also becoming a standard feature is the new ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with traction and understeer control,
In terms of convenience and comfort, the new Megane offers a two-way adjustable steering column, height adjustable driver and passenger seat, 12-volt socket and tons of storage throughout the cockpit. There are, of course, automatic electronic brake, LED daytime running lamps, tinted windows, 7-inch TFT instrument panel and leather upholstery.
Drivetrain system
The engineering team managed to make the vehicle far more responsive and precise, compared to the predecessor with the incorporation of the four-wheel steer 4Control system with sporty setup and shorter wheelbase.
The GT Nav trim level also offers four selectable driving modes, Comfort, Sport, Neutral and Peso. And the usage of Alliance CMF platform further enhances the safety of the vehicle, thanks to the Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.

In terms of powerplants and performance, buyers can choose between two Energy TCe turbocharged petrol engines with 130hp (97kW) and 205hp (152kW) power outputs. There are also two turbodiesel units with a 110hp (82kW) output and a 130hp (97kW) respectively.
With Stop&Start system and some refined components, these engines ensure some smooth and pleasurable ride, but also are ready for some sporty action. So, when you need some more excitement, just know that the new Megane can offer some action!
Optional features and packages
There is a special Climate Pack for the Expression+ trim level, which adds automatic dual-zone climate control and automatic headlights and wipers. On the other hand, Parking Pack, available for Dynamique Nav includes front and rear parking sensors and rear parking cameras, while Dynamique S Nav and above can be geared with Parking Pack Premium, which brings handsfree parking, rear parking camera and blind spot warning. A Safety Pack, available for Dynamique Nav features distance warning system and automatic emergency braking, while the Safety Pack Premium brings the aid of adaptive cruise control exclusively for the Dynamique S Nav.

There are also Horizon Pack and Look Pack options with sunroof and electrochrome rearview mirror, 17-inch alloys and some interior refreshments as Alcanatara leather and BOSE audio system.
