2016 Porsche 911 Carrera SThe latest 911 Carrera will celebrate its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt International Auto Show. And for the celebration the Porsche team will bring numerous surprises for both customers and fans. The latest 911 vehicle will be geared with fresh engine, redesigned drivetrain system and numerous hi-end features. So, let us see what will happen at the 2015 FIAA.

As you can see, there are numerous visual exterior changes made on the new 911 Carrera. Now there are headlights with four-point daytime running lights, integrated door handle recesses and restyled rear lights. And there is a special system, called Porsche Communication Management System which offers extended range of hi-tech features.

Engine System

The completely redesigned engine lineup now offers additional 20 hp (14 kW) via the 3.0-liter engine for a total of 370 hp (272 kW). Furthermore, the powerplant now uses a special turbocharges, modified compressor wheels and completely new exhaust system just to deliver that legendary Porsche driving experience. In fact, the new Carrera S is capable of providing a total of 410 hp (301 kW) and significantly boosted torque for a total of 331 lb-ft and 368 lb-ft respectively from 1,700 rpm to 5,000 rpm. And along with the performance stats, Porsche promises that the new generation of engines will be with 12% more efficient than its predecessors. Cool.

Performance

The 911 models do have that impressive agility: the Carrera Coupe, geared with Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Sports Chrono Package sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) for just 4.0 seconds. And the Carrera S with the same geared packs completes this sprint for 3.7 seconds, which makes the vehicle with 0.2 seconds faster than its older relative. Furthermore, both models reach a top speed of 343 km/h (191 mph).

Furthermore, when equipped with the Sport Chrono Pack, the 911 Carrera comes with a mode switch on the steering wheel, which includes Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. Flexibility at its best.

Next-Gen technologies

The latest 911 Carrera vehicles will come with a Porsche Communication Management System as standard feature. Furthermore, the beauties are geared with online navigation module, seven-inch display and handwritten user inputs are now recognized. And of course, these are just some of the numerous features that the vehicles will include.

So, it looks like Porsche is aiming for the next level. And with features like that it will be no wonder that the 911 Carrera will become one of the most desirable vehicles today.
